The firm upgraded their complete IT infrastructure including server, risk management solutions and workstations to comply with application vendor requirements. The total upgrade provided a Windows 2003 Standard-Operating-Environment (SOE) with appropriate Enterprise based services to accommodate business needs and requirements.
One of the critical upgrade factors was the need to minimise downtime during the change over period as the firm work commitments could not support too much immobility.
