Illawarra based organisation dedicated to the delivery of aged care services to the community throughout the South Coast of NSW.
IRT’s head office is located in Woonona (North of Wollongong) with an additional 22 remote sites located across NSW. The geographical footprint stretches from Northern Sydney, through South-West Sydney and the Illawarra, across ACT and as far South as Eurobodalla.
IRT employs over 1200 staff with over 130 computer users.
Unitech I.T. Solutions was commissioned to develop an IT strategy to benefit the long term business requirements of the organisation.
A tender process followed, involving local and Sydney based companies, from which Unitech I.T. Solutions was selected for the supply of a technology solution to track the IT Strategy.
The design included implementing a substantial IT infrastructure in Woonona to support total IT requirements including communication and risk management services, a fully managed Communication infrastructure to link each site to the new technology, the deployment of the services at each location (including terminals, printing services, risk management solutions) through a thin client solution with minimal disruption to the operation of the organisation.
Through Project Management services, the above objectives were achieved with Unitech I.T. Solutions being requested to establish a service and support schedule for the complete group, with onsite support in every location when required.
