For the first time in its 50 year history, the members applauded the CEO after presenting his report at the Annual General Meeting. "People, planet, profit" is the vision of the Oak Flats Bowling Club. An organisation dedicated to providing service to the community.

The club's focus has been to increase memberships. Since 2002 the membership has increased from just over 2000 to nearly 10,000. The Club offers members rewards and incentives which are eagerly taken and offer their lawn bowls members' very generous subsidies.

The Club is also focused on the Planet and is trying to reduce its carbon footprint. They are looking at and implementing many innovative methods to recycle and reuse. One such initiative approach has been to install worm farms to help "dispose" of kitchen waste and also paper and cardboard.

The Club is supported by 60 staff with around a 10 workstation network. Prior to the upgrade, the Club's I.T. infrastructure was outdated and hindered business growth as required in accordance with corporate strategy. The Club's management and administrative staff were less effective in conducting their roles and Unitech I.T. Solutions was commissioned to review, redesign and implement a new I.T. strategy. A partnership with such an innovative and forward thinking client was the right fit for Unitech I.T. Solutions.

As well as being part of the continual growth of the Club, Unitech I.T. Solutions perform regular Preventative Maintenance to ensure the ongoing reliability of the network. This service has taken a lot of the stress out of looking after IT for the Club's employees.

Providing accessible and efficient support, continual feedback regarding issues and having full accountability has resulted in a very strong relationship between The Oak Flats Bowling Club and Unitech I.T. Solutions.
