One of the largest Windows manufacturers in the region, Sassall boasts glass, domestic & commercial divisions. Most of their contracts are distributed across the Sydney area involving large scale construction sites.
Due to their building contractor style of operation, the organisation needed to implement a technical solution capable of adapting to their business requirements.
Temporary building site offices, mobile project managers, architects and structural engineers plus the ability to scale the services to adapt to changing market environments, were all business requirements that needed to be addressed through the use of technology.
A thin client (Citrix) based solution was implemented to meet corporate requirements with a fully integrated solution involving wireless and VPN based access in short term building sites and fully managed broadband ICA based access from the long term sites.
To support the substantial increase in data throughput, a full “back end” turnkey solution involving multiple enterprise servers including risk management and disaster recovery solutions was implemented to accommodate short and long term business requirements.
