Mailing List Leak: Pont3 (Events & Promotions)

Pont3, a Sydney based events and promotions company has recently had its mailing list leaked after a malicious hack. Pont3 is responsible for marketing and promotion of the Sydney Running Festival, Electric Run, Sydney Harbour 5k and 10k Runs, Warrior Run, and the Manly Inflatable Boat Race. The mailing lists associated with these events has been leaked, and include user data such as phone numbers, email addresses, names, and mailing addresses.

While it looks like no password or billing details were leaked, Unitech Solutions encourages people to be careful with communication that they may receive from what looks to be Pont3 or another company. If you receive communication from someone claiming to be Pont3, contact Pont3 directly on 02 9282 0400 to confirm whether the contact was legitimate.

If you have believe that you may be the target of a phishing or other hack attempt, contact Unitech Solution on 1300 IT HELP (1300 484 357). As always, if you receive an email from a sender that you don’t know do not open it or any attachments. Delete the email straight away.
